    Meet the Team

    Cathi Long, Owner and founder is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist MT4017 specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. She has the ability to uncover true potential while addressing difficult situations of the past, while working together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Cathi has completed level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses this in her work.  Cathi is also trained in EMDR and can assist you through trauma based issues.     Lauren Messina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MH22244 and PhD student at the University of the Cumberlands. Using an integrative approach, Lauren walks alongside clients through their emotional struggles, behavior patterns, thought processes and healing journey. Lauren believes that healing is not linear, and everyone’s experiences and story is different. Through one’s therapy journey, Lauren offers an individualized approach utilizing different modalities that fit the client’s needs, as well as setting goals to make positive changes in one’s life.     Ashley Tarschis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, MH25100. Ashley possesses a strong passion to work with children and families by providing a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment to explore and process feelings, thoughts, and actions. She uses a client centered and solution focused counseling approach to help children and families explore concerns, identify goals, and learn constructive tools for improved emotional health to achieve academic and behavioral success.     Erin Satterlee is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, IMH24037. She has a passion for working with adults who experience issues with anxiety, coping skills, stress, and self-esteem. She has worked with individuals who have experienced substance abuse issues. Erin has a background in law enforcement and a drive to work with first responders, military personnel, and the LGBTQ+ community.     Adalyn Thomas is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, IMH26144. Adalyn’s goal is to create a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental space to learn, heal, and grow. Adalyn is a clinical mental health counseling intern and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Adalyn has a passion for working with a range of clients including children, adolescents, adults, and couples.  With an extensive background in early childhood education, Adalyn has cultivated a wealth of experience working with children and families. As a therapist, Adalyn serves as a guide to empower clients to make their own changes through all of life’s challenges with a therapeutic alliance of support and collaboration.     Meghann Ostrom is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, IMH26988 She is dedicated to providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts and feelings. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey, grounded in mutual respect, trust, and empathy.     Samantha Berbrick is a graduate level student intern being supervised by Cathi Long, LMFT-QS.  Samantha is a clinical mental health counseling intern. As a clinical mental health counseling intern, Samantha is dedicated to creating a supportive and compassionate environment for all of her future clients.     Rachael McCann is a graduate level student intern being supervised by Lauren Messina, LMHC and Cathi Long, LMFT-QS. She has a decade worth of experience supporting children and adolescents in both educational and counseling settings. Her background as a teacher and school counselor has given her deep insight into the challenges young people and their families face. She is passionate about guiding clients toward a greater sense of inner peace, improved relationships, and a clearer sense of purpose. With warmth and empathy, Rachael creates a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies for personal growth.     Skyler Pink is a graduate level student intern being supervised by Cathi Long, LMFT-QS . She is committed to providing quality care to all individuals, couples and families in a supportive and non-judgmental space. With a background as a behavior technician, she has experience working with individuals of diverse needs, helping them develop emotional regulation, coping strategies, and behavioral skills. This hands-on experience has strengthened her ability to offer empathetic, client-centered therapy tailored to each individual within the family unit. Her passion is to utilize the theories and interventions outlined in her studies to empower individuals to navigate challenges, build resilience, and foster positive change in a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
